Great job last night AMS choir. It was great to see so many people come out and support these wonderful students.

AMS 6th VB
The team ended the season (7-3) with a win against Fremont on 10/3. In support of breast cancer awareness and in honor of those near the team that have been affected by breast cancer, the team organized a "Pink Out".

AMS Football
Saturday the 7th and 8th grade had close battles against fairfield. 7th grade lost and 8th grade won a defensive struggle 6-0. 7th grade has a record of 3-3 and 8th grade 2-4. There are two games left.

AMS Girls Soccer
On 10/3, the team showed their best teamwork so far with lots of assists and passing in a 7-0 Win over Garrett. Shout out to the girls who scored: Natalee, Brynlee, Lexie, Hailey, Adrianna, and Belle. Belle scored the team’s PK with all eyes on her. Great work from the girls. That brings season record to 5-2-1.

AMS 8th Grade Volleyball
Ended the season strong by beating Fremont Eagles last night 25-21, 25-18. The serving and kills allowed us to win!! Come support your Hornets at home for the Conference tournament on Tuesday October 8th at 5:00pm as they play Eastside.

Parent/Teacher Conferences are on Wednesday, October 9th from 3:30-7:00PM. Many of you have scheduled appointments but there are still times available if you're interested in meeting with your student's teachers. Please call the AMS office to schedule an appointment.

AMS Girls Soccer
Tuesday the team won 7-2 against Lakeland. Tonight is last game before tournament, against Garrett.

AMS Volleyball
We celebrated 8th grade night on 9/23 against the Lakeland Lakers. It was an exciting night of volleyball and honoring the eighth grade’s last home game. The Hornets won the match 2-1. Great job girls!

AMS Boys XC
The boys ran a strong race overall, but finished second to what is likely the best middle school team in the state in Westview. All seven varsity runners earned all-conference honors, a first for Angola in at least 8 years. They were lead by Owen Fletcher in 4th with a time of 10:45, the fastest time for an Angola runner at conference since joining the NECC a decade ago. Evan Kolar followed closely in 5th with a time of 10:53, the second fastest time at NECC since at least 2017. Also earning all conference honors were Levi Biddle (12th, 11:21), Cruz Everage (22nd, 11:47), Anthony Camillo (25th, 12:00), Patrick Schaeffer (28th, 12:01), and Atticus Heaven (33rd, 12:27). Many of these runners will be running at the state meet on Saturday.

AMS Girls XC:
Last night the team overall ran well against an experienced Jr. NECC conference and placed 7th as the only team with four 6th graders in the varsity line up. Summer Ross pushed through pain to finish 17th with a time of 13:15, while Whitnee Huff lead the 6th grade pack with a time of 13:42, just missing out on all-conference in 27th place. Also scoring for Angola were Macy Newhard (36th, 14:19), Harper Yoder (42nd, 14:29), and Sophia Smith (54th, 14:49). Several runners qualified for the state meet and will look to set new personal bests this Saturday.

REMINDER: The fundraiser order will be delivered tomorrow, Wednesday, October 2nd. Sorting and distributing orders is a lengthy process, so orders will not be ready for pick up until after buses are dismissed. Please enter at door 4 after the buses have cleared the parking lot.
If your student is an athlete who has practice after school you may either pick up their order right after school OR along with your student after practice. Unfortunately, if your athlete plays football or volleyball, you will need to pick up their orders right after school as those events are away tomorrow evening.

AMS Parents
On Wednesday 10/2, our fundraiser order is being delivered. If your student has an order that they will not be able to take with them on the bus, please make arrangements to pick your student and the order up after school. All orders will be ready at the end of school, not earlier.
Thanks for your help.
